Although primarily focused on jazz in her musical studies she also enjoys funk, soul, RnB, and the blues. These genres influence her compositional style and this can be noticeably heard in her band Monstress’ debut EP, released late 2020. This release involved writing, recording, and performing original musical material, which placed her in the position of band leader and manager. In this position she developed her interpersonal skills as she had to liaise with artists, producers, sound engineers, and venue managers.
